Rex Dexter Ostrander
May 18, 1933 – Nov. 21, 2019 After several months battling cancer, Rex Dexter Ostrander passed away on Nov 21, 2019 at the age of 86. He is survived by his four children, Pamela Ostrander Beaudoin (Serge), Peggy Ostrander Phillips (Herb), Linda Ostrander LeMaster, and Matt Ostrander (Karen); six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Rex was predeceased by his wife and a granddaughter. Rex was born on May 18, 1933 in Manton, MI and married the love of his life, Jeanette LaMonde Ostrander, in 1958. Rex had a distinguished military career in the US Air Force as well as a notable second career with industry at ITT Avionics. Following a funeral Mass at St Bernadette Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec 20, 2019 in Panama City Beach, FL, Rex will be laid to rest with full military honors in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL at 2:30 p.m. The family would like to thank Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital and Covenant Care Hospice for the loving care provided to Rex in his final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his name at www.americancancersociety.com/donate
