Edmund Joe Armstrong II
Edmund Joe Armstrong II, 61, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019 in Panama City, Florida. Eddie was born to Peggye Elouise and Edmund Joe on March 5, 1958 in Savannah, TN. Growing up in Panama City, Eddie attended Rutherford High School, class of 1976, and Florida State University in Tallahassee. Eddie worked in construction his entire life. As a General Contractor and entrepreneur, he owned Construction Consulting Company, Armstrong Rentals, and supported his wife, Pam, at their restaurant, Tom's Hot Dogs, in downtown Panama City. Beyond his professional life, Eddie was known for his many personal passions. A true lover of music, Eddie had a collection of guitars that he loved to play, and he never missed out on karaoke night. He also loved to fish, watch FSU football, drink beer with his friends, and spend time with his grandbabies, of which he had seven. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund Joe Armstrong I and Peggye Armstrong, and his sister, Deborah Whitcomb. Eddie is survived by his wife, Pamelia Armstrong; his brother, Michael Armstrong; his daughter, Joleen Armstrong, and granddaughters, Savannah Farris and Blakely; his daughter, Erica Lambert, husband Jeffrey, and granddaughter, Riley; his daughter, Cassandra Laube, husband Daniel, and grandchildren, Caleb and Alexis; his son, Bradley Stevens; his daughter, Sommer Livingston, husband BJ, and grandchildren, Bolden and Bryson; and his son, Edmund Joe Armstrong III. He is also survived by his many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The services for Eddie's proceedings will be Friday evening and Saturday morning at Heritage Funeral Home in Callaway, FL. There will be a viewing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, and a service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to a local music charity that helps and funds music education for children - Many Mini Musicians.
