Charles M. Walker June 16, 1925 - Nov. 20, 2019 Chuck Walker, 94, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, after a long and eventful life. Chuck left Grant High School in 1943, his senior year to join the Merchant Marines during WWII. The ships he was stationed on delivered supplies to American Troops in the South Pacific, until the war ended in 1945. On Jan. 1, 1946 he married the love of his life, Patricia Dillon. They raised three sons and Chuck was very involved with them in Boy Scouts and their various sporting activities. He worked at Carnation Dairy as a delivery driver until his retirement in 1980. After retirement, he played a lot of golf and they traveled the world, spending much time in his favorite vacation spot, Hawaii. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Marvel; and his brother, Jim. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Patricia; sons, Terry (Raedelle), Rick (Amy) and Dave (Debi); grandchildren, Shane, Brandon, Shannon, Ashley and Jacob; and great-grandkids; Gage, Greyson, Mason and Story. A celebration of life with a Hawaiian theme will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019. Please email rwalko3@comcast.net for location.
