Mrs. Venita Earley McKee, age 83, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. She was born November 26, 1935 in Laurel Hill, Florida to Curtis and Ruby Maloy Earley. Mrs. McKee was a life-long resident of Walton County, Florida. She was Church of Christ by faith and was a member of Liberty Church of Christ, in Liberty, Florida. She graduated from Paxton High school in 1953. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, decorating and gardening. She owned and operated her own business, Linda's Sew and Tell in DeFuniak Springs. She managed fabric departments at TG & Y and Walmart, and was also assistant manager at the Family Dollar. She also worked making custom drapery. Mrs. McKee is preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother James Earley. Mrs. McKee is survived by her husband of 66 years, Maxwell L. McKee Sr. of Liberty, Florida; children Kathey McKee Godfrey, husband Doug of Liberty, Florida, Brenda McKee of Paxton, Florida, Lemoyne McKee, wife Renea of Liberty, Florida; brother Ronnie Earley, wife Joan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; five grandchildren Dusti White, Happy Laughlin, Kayla Bradley, Cortni McKee and Anna Godfrey; great grandchildren Ashley, Alex, Kyle, Trevor, Chandler, Khloe, Braylon, Brixton; great great grandchild Piper, and numerous nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 ~ 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Minister Harold Bigham and Minister Billy McKee officiating.
