Alfred L. Hill, Pascagoula, MS, passed away at age 79. He was a graduate of Beaumont High School, Beaumont, MS, served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding where he was employed for 39 years. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, Pascagoula, MS. He is preceded in death by his son, Wesley Allen Hill; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Herrington; mother and father, Syble and J.B. Hill; and nephews, Adam and Scott Byrd. He is survived by his wife, Katie Hill; daughter, Carmen (Tim) Herrington; grandchildren, Mallory Hill (Ben) Donald, Devin Herrington, and Dylan Herrington; sister, Elisabeth (Mack) Byrd; brother, Jerry Hill; and niece, Melissa (Wayne) White. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and Nascar, with family, friends, and co-workers in Jackson, George, and Perry Counties. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The family will accept friends from 10:00am to 11:00am. Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00pm at Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 15, Beaumont, MS with Tim Herrington, Devin Herrington, Dylan Herrington, Wayne White, Jerry Hinton, and Dale Crowder serving as pallbearers.
