In memory of
Ann M. Russo
Ann M. Russo Nanuet, NY - We lost our matriarch, Ann M. Russo, 97, on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Ann was born in Salerno, Italy, as the oldest of six children. She and her family moved to New York City when she was 7 years old. She met and married her husband, Joseph, and they raised four children in the Bronx. A loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was loved by all who met her. She was a compassionate, sensitive soul whose strength guided her family after the loss of her husband 50 years ago. She will always be remembered as a generous, positive person full of love for her family and friends and would always have delicious meatballs, eggplant or chicken cutlets ready when needed. A source of great pride was her four children and their spouses, as well as her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. May she rest easy in the arms of her husband with the angels in heaven. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, 10am at St. Anthony's (Shrine) Church in Nanuet. Burial to follow at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Visiting hours will be today, 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan. Moritz Funeral Home 98 Route 303 South, Tappan, NY 10983 (845) 359-0890 www.moritzfh.com
