Walter P. DelGrasso, 71 A New Yorker from beginning to end Walter P. DelGrasso, 71, passed after a short hospice stay on Nov. 9, 2019. He was a kind-hearted man born and raised in Greenwich Village. He raised his two beloved children, Samantha and Walter, on Staten Island. He graduated from Staten Island Community College and spent his career there. A New Yorker from beginning to end, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Walter donated his body for medical education. He is survived by daughter, Samantha; grandson, Hunter, and siblings, Bruce, Kate and Carol. His kind presence will be deeply missed. He found joy in caring for the many homeless cats he rescued and fostered. Many of his cats are now being cared for by City Critters.
