Robert Patrick Wade Robert Patrick Wade, age 72, of The Villages, Fla., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. He was surrounded by his devoted family. Survivors include his loving wife of 48-plus years, Carol; son, Robert (Nancy) Wade; and daughter, Christine Borgman (Joe). He is also survived by his siblings, Richard (Mary), James (Joann), Stephen (Kathy), Patrick (Cindy) and Nancy Cothern (Jimmy); sister-in-law, Nancy Heilmann; and brother-in-law, David (Mary) Butters. In addition, he is survived by his six treasured grandsons, Nicklas, Hudson, Anderson and Nathan Wade and Andrew and Patrick Borgman; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan and Robert Alexander Wade. A gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 26, from 10 to11 a.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 11 a.m. at Hiers-Baxley, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, in The Villages. A committal service with military honors will be held the following day, Wednesday, November 27, at 11 a.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
