Ruby Lee Alexander was born on March 5, 1928 in Charlotte, NC to the late James and Odessa Reese. She went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2019 at the impressive age of 91. Ruby married the love of her life EC Alexander at the age of 14. They were together until he passed away in 1995, and she never loved anyone else. Her family lovingly called her Nanny. Nanny was loved by her five children Ricky Alexander, Suzanne (John) Flowers, Terry Alexander, Allan (Crystal) Alexander, and Candy (Sam) Harper, 13 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren Erik Alexander (Clayton), Jessica Roche', Bruce Alexander (Briana & Drake), Kimberly Temple (Justin, Ethan, Katlyn), Wendy Flowers (Cassandra, Aubrey, Seth, Steven), Michael Flowers, David Allan Carney (Alyssa), Nicholas Carney (Abigal & Ruby), Alexander Carney, Vanessa Wise (Eden), Samantha Carney (Mikey & Samuel), Ruby Whiting, Michel Frances O'Hare (Skyler, Angelina, Arianna), 4 great-great grandchildren, and her nephew Michael Laney. She was a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church, where she sang regularly until the age of 90 and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Rebekahs - Independent Order of Odd Fellows. She was a member of the Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) at Singing River Hospital for over 20 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastlawn Baptist Church 1704 Belair St., Pascagoula, MS., with Rev. Yogi Taylor officiating. Holder-Wells Funeral Home, Moss Point, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
