TUCKER BUCK, JUDY ELAINE Grand Rapids, MI Oct 16, 1946 – Nov 10, 2019 Judy was born to Aubrey and Marie Tucker in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was the middle child of three, from this union. Judy received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Claflin College, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She continued her educational pursuits and earned a Master of Science degree in psychology, from Michigan State University. Judy taught third grade for 37 years in the Grand Rapids Public Schools District. Judy was preceded in death by both of her parents. Her husband of 37 years, Lawrence Chase Buck, Jr., passed away on March 7, 2017. Judy leaves her four children to cherish her memory: Kevin Lawrence (LaDietra) Buck, daughters Kristy Marie Buck, Angela Noell Buck (of Grand Rapids, Michigan) and Kelly Nicole Buck Williams (of Piscataway, New Jersey); as well as two grandchildren Kayveonna Lashae Buck and Saniyah Natice Buck, along with one great-grandson, Kahlil Chase Barnes (all of Grand Rapids, Michigan). Additionally, Judy leaves her sister, Linda (Clarence) Booker (of Greenville, South Carolina) and brother, Aubrey (Tina) Tucker (of Spartanburg, South Carolina). Also, in Grand Rapids, Judy is mourned by her brother-in-law, Richard (Ronna) Jackson, and sisters-in-law, Brenda Diane Buck and Marilyn (Royce) Buck Evans, accompanied by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are welcome to the graveside service at: Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, located on the South West corner of Kalamazoo Ave. S.E. and Alger S.E. 11:00 a.m. Officiating: Rev. Dr. Royce A. Evans. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Blodgett Campus of Spectrum Health, for Judy's care.
