Sheila Martin
Sheila Martin, 84 Sheila Martin, an avid Yankees fan and doting mother who enjoyed travel with her family, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2019, at the age of 84. Sheila, the youngest of six, was born on April 1, 1935, in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, to Margaret and Michael Meaney. Attending St. Patrick's Grammar School and St. Joseph's High School in Brooklyn, Sheila worked as a manager at ISO for 25 years. Sheila moved to Staten Island, where she and her husband Charles raised two children. Her children were the pivotal essence of her life. Sheila's gentle, caring and loving nature have left a permanent mark on the hearts of those she's left behind and will be sorely missed. Sheila is survived by her son, Steven, and was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and daughter, Susan. Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment will be Friday, Nov. 15, at Greenwood Cemetary in Brooklyn, N.Y.
