In memory of
James Pearsall
James Pearsall, 68 Beloved brother and uncle, Con Ed retiree, 'touched many lives' James Pearsall, a lifelong resident of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on Oct. 22, 2019. Jim attended Tottenville HS and held degrees from St. John's University and Wagner College. Jim spent his working career with Con Edison at the Travis Avenue location. He was active in the Con Ed Retirement Association. Jim was the son of Gilbert H. Pearsall and Frances Begley Pearsall, and the brother of Gilbert F. Pearsall, deceased. Jim is survived by his sisters, Frances Craig Brewster, Mary Pearsall, Patricia Pearsall-Ramey; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and his dog, Cooper. Some of Jim's favorite things were playing with his dog, Cooper; a prime rib dinner with a friend, a cold beer, and a good joke. He actively kept up with politics and current events. He loved his family and friends without reservation; always willing to lend a hand or offer advice. Jim touched and impacted many lives over the years and we all have "Jimmy" stories that we will cherish and remember. He will be sorely missed. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Friday, Nov. 15, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to North Shore Animal League, Animalleague.org , or ASPCA, aspca.org .
