Miriam Glosser
Miriam Elizabeth Fetterolf Glosser of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, died November 5, 2019 at Middletown, Pennsylvania. Miriam was the daughter of George Irvin Fetterolf (1897-1981) and Frances Viola McClellan Fetterolf (1900-1978). She grew up on a farm near Centre Hall, the second of eight children. Miriam attended beautician school in Harrisburg, and met Clyde Frederick "Fred" Glosser. They married July 25, 1944, and had two children: Fred LeRoy Glosser (1946-2003) and Sandra Jean Glosser Roebuck. Miriam is survived by her daughter Sandy, son-in-law Robert Roebuck, granddaughters Jessica Ann Glosser (Francisco, Jr.) Avitia, MacKenzie Christine Roebuck (Mark) Compton, Stacy Marie Roebuck (Kevin) Hillis, great-grandchildren Carolina Glosser Avitia, Daniel Glosser Avitia, Christian Glosser Avitia, Alexa Diane Compton, Gavin Robert Compton, Reese Elizabeth Compton, Mikayla Rae Hillis, and Andrew Michael Hillis. She is also survived by two of her sisters, Jean Fetterolf McClanahan of Aurora, CO, and Linda Fetterolf (Chuck) Murphy of Centre Hall, PA, a brother-in-law, Bruce Boob, a sister-in-law, Adreadawn Fetterolf, and many nieces and nephews for several generations. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Fred Glosser, son Fred LeRoy Glosser, and siblings Dean William Fetterolf, Paul McClellan Fetterolf, Glenn Warren Fetterolf, Phyllis Marie Fetterolf Boob, and George Kenneth "Junior" Fetterolf. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11 A.M. at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Londonderry Rd., Harrisburg. The Rev. James Person will be officiating. Inurnment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A Visitation will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church, prior to the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Londonderry Rd., Harrisburg, Pa. 17109. Arrangements are by the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Harrisburg.
