Mary Frances Sileo
MARY Frances Shearer Sileo Mary Frances Sileo, daughter of Frank and Mary Maxfield Shearer, died peacefully on Oct. 1, 2019, in Wayne, Pa., where she had been a longtime resident. She was 93 years old. Mary Frances was born in Pittsford on Sept. 14, 1926, and was related to one of Pittsford's founding fathers, Simon Stone. Her one sibling, Victoria (Torie) Graves, was also born and raised in Pittsford. Mary Frances was active in her community, Pittsford High School and her church. She became the youngest person to hold the title of Master of Juvenile Grange at the age of 14. Mary Frances is survived by her daughters, Maxine (Dixie) Carroll Denton of Texas and Virginia, and Shearerie Sileo Welsh of Pennsylvania; son, Don Sileo of New York; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Carroll Gibson, of Pennsylvania. Interment is scheduled for November 9 at 11 a.m. in Pittsford Cemetery. A service at United Church of Pittsford is scheduled at 1 p.m. A reception will immediately follow at the church. The family requests donations in Mary Frances' name be directed to United Church of Pittsford.
