William Fry Jr.
William Rodger Fry, Jr., of Enola, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 30, 1948, in Enola, PA, he was the son to William R. Fry, Sr. and the late Kathryn Fry. He is survived by his loving wife Mary E. Fry; daughter, Alicia J.L. Fry; son, William R. Fry III and his wife, Missy Fry; 4 grandchildren: Marcus W. LaGrassa, Mya E.L. LaGrassa, Brad Thomas, and Tyler Thomas and wife Nikki Thomas; sister, Alice E. Leiby; 22 nieces and nephews; and 23 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis M. Fry. Bill worked as a block operator for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and retired as a deputy treasurer for Cumberland County. Since his retirement, he enjoyed spending time at the Front Street Diner, and his hobbies included music and watching trains. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. But, his favorite pastime of 47 years was being Santa at various malls, Chocolate World, and Hershey Park. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 9 to 11 am at Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 11 am at the church. Burial will be private.
