Barbara Ellis Crawford July 16, 1932 - November 5, 2019 Barbara Ellis Crawford died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on November 5, 2019. She was born in Nashville on July 16, 1932, graduated from West End High School in 1950, and from Carson-Newman College in 1954. She married Al Crawford in August, 1954. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother (Margaret Manly Ellis) and her father (Chester P. Ellis). She is survived by her husband of 65 years, daughters Karen Braden (Gary), Christie Brown (Larry), Carol Puckett (Mike), 6 grandchildren and spouses, and 6 great grandchildren. Barbara had a life filled with Christian service, home responsibilities and many honors, but her crowning achievement was being a living and loving example while raising three wonderful daughters. Visitation will be held at Grassland Heights Baptist Church, 2316 Hillsboro Road, Franklin, TN on Saturday, November 9th, at 1:00 pm, followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Grassland Heights Baptist Church.
