Carey "Cotton" Wayne Mears, II Holland, Ind. - Carey "Cotton" Wayne Mears, II, 62, of Holland, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019, at his home. Cotton was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 20, 1956, to the late Carey and Polly (Allen) Mears. He retired from Alcoa and then established his own organizational development consulting company. Cotton enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle, carpentry, home projects, traveling, working, and spending time with his family. Cotton is survived by his wife of 19 years, Christine (Duvall) Mears of Holland, IN; daughters, Stephanie Mears of Evansville, IN and Callie Rose Mears of Holland, IN; sister, Karen Gatewood of TN; brother, Tracey Mears of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Breanna Compton, Kendra White, Alaijha Baltzell, Wayne "Chunka" Crowe Jr., and Daelin Mears; great-grandchildren, Bre'Aylin Cabell, and Davaya Compton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cotton was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Marie Mears and by his parents. A celebration of Cotton's life will be held at his home on Saturday, November 23, 2019 beginning at 11:00 a.m. CST. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 2532 Waterbridge Way, Evansville, IN 47710. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care and concern.
