Angelo James Coscia, 83 Beloved husband, father, and grandfather Lifelong Staten Islander, Angelo Coscia passed away on Nov. 4, 2019. Born to Serafina and James, Angelo was a graduate of New Dorp High School where he was a Hall of Fame football player. He attended American University and Wagner College after serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a Controller at Nassau Smelting for 25 years while operating his own accounting firm which was started in 1964. Angelo enjoyed exercising, playing paddleball, trips to Atlantic City, and especially spending time with his cherished wife, Phyllis, watching his sons, Drew, Fred and James play in their band, his grandsons play sports and working alongside his son, John, for the past 25 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Phyllis, sons, Drew, Fred and John (Lynn, grandsons, John and Dean), sister, Marie and sister-in-law, Min. He was predeceased by son, James, grandson, James, and brothers, Joseph and Dewy. Visitation is Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hanley Funeral Home. Mass is Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church.
