Helen Ramsey, 101 Staten Island resident, Mass is on Wednesday Helen Ramsey, 101 years old, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Carmel Richmond Nursing Home. Born in New Brighton, Helen grew up in Port Richmond and graduated from St. Peter's High School. She relocated to Cooperstown, N.Y., with her husband in 1980 and returned to Staten Island in 2010. She enjoyed traveling with him through the New England area states. Helen worked for New York City Economic Development Corp for 25 years. She belonged to Cassidy Cole Senior Center. Predeceased by her husband, Harry Ramsey, who died in 1990, she is survived by her brother, Daniel Holihan, her nephews, John, Ciaran, and Daithi Farley, and her nieces, Maureen Russo and Josephine Farley. Visitation is on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. Mass of Christion Burial is Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Private cremation, Interment of ashes to follow at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery Cooperstown, N.Y.
