Kenneth F. Searles SAYLORSBURG Kenneth F. Searles, 68, of Saylorsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital-Monroe Campus, of Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Lorraine (Specht) Searles. Kenneth was born on Oct. 17, 1951, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late George and Eleanor (Herring) Searles. Kenneth served in the US Navy and in later years he worked for Essroc as a heavy equipment operator until 2009. Kenneth's passion from a young age was music. He was a vocalist and guitar player for the band "Smoke" in the '70s. In later years, Kenneth enjoyed being a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church of Saylorsburg choir. Kenneth was known to be a spitfire with a heart of gold. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; who loved Harley motorcycles and animals. In addition to his wife, Kenneth is deeply missed by daughter, Chelsa Beth Gerould and husband Logan of Blandon; step-daughter, Dani (Steltz) Cool of Allentown. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cole and Brynn Gerould, and his loving dogs, Utso, Bear and Lovey. He was predeceased by brother, George "Butchie" Searles. Services will be private and at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AWSOM Animal Shelter, 3129 Godfrey Ridge Dr. Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
