Hazel Shelton
Hazel Shelton, 84, of Greenwood passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Hazel was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on September 23rd 1935 to the late Nathan and Alice (McClure) Doan. She married Norman Shelton on July 10, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2014. Hazel was a member of Greenwood Christian Church where she enjoyed volunteering in the nursery for many years. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and her great-grandchildren. In her younger years Hazel also enjoyed golf and square dancing. Surviving are two children, Yvonne Liscomb (Steve) of Indianapolis, and Dwayne Shelton of Plainfield; grandchildren, Gary Davis, Carey Brosmer (Jerry), and Kaylee Fischer; three great-grandchildren, Cameryn Davis, and Ava and Ashton Brosmer, as well as one sister, Dolly Harris. Services for Hazel Shelton are Friday, November 1st at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of service. Burial will follow at Rocklane Cemetery.
