Eugene R. Lucarini, 74 Mass is Thursday for Staten Island native, Marine Corps veteran Eugene R. Lucarini, age 74, passed away on Oct. 27, 2019, in Calvary Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y., after a long battle with cancer. Gene was born on Oct. 13, 1945, on Staten Island to Eugene A. Lucarini and Grace Oliver. He was a student at P.S. 41 and graduated from New Dorp High School. He attended CCNY. Gene was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1971. He was a lifelong Yankees fan. Gene is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Ahrens Lucarini, and his three sons, Eugene R. Jr., Stephen (Lena) and Bryan. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer, Brianna, Eugene III and Anthony; one brother, Paul; two sisters, Marilyn and Anita; and six nieces and nephews. The viewing is at Hanley Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services from the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, with a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church on New Dorp Lane, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
