Robert 'Bobby' Tomestic, 71 Loving father; worked for the Advance and other newspapapers Robert "Bobby" Tomestic entered eternal life on Oct. 6, 2019, in Advent Health Hospital in Ocala, Fla. He was surrounded by his five children, two grandchildren, one niece, and his sister, Adrianne and brother-in- law, Frank Fardella. He was born on Staten Island on March 1, 1948. He worked at the Staten Island Advance from the 1960s to the 1970s. He then relocated and worked for Harte Hanks in Florida, Texas, and New Mexico from the 1970s to the 1980s. After relocating to Georgia, he worked for the Atlanta Constitution from the 1980s to the 2000s when he then retired. He was a loving father to Carl, Marc, Nicole, Ashlee and Robert Jr. He also had eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
