Emerick Joseph "Emy" Corsi III
age 32, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019. He was born August 30, 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from University School, where he excelled in the performing and visual arts, and as an accomplished student-athlete. Emerick went on to attend both Wake Forest University and Miami University (Ohio) where he graduated in 2011 with a degree in Business, Political Science, and Government. After graduation from college, Emerick worked for General Growth Properties in Chicago, Illinois. He returned to Cleveland in 2016 for a career opportunity with Forest City Enterprises and most recently with the DiGeronimo Companies as a Leasing and Development Manager. Emy, as everyone knew him, was a best friend to all. He was a voice of reason, a confidant and a comedian. He will be best remembered for his love and care of family and friends. Emerick is survived by his parents; Emerick Jr. and Donna; sisters Lindsey (Corsi) Cottone and Lauren (Corsi) Burger; his nephews and nieces; Nicholas (Nico) Jr, Giovanni (Gio), Hudson, Charlie (Coco) and Dolly. Grandparents; Sara Corsi, Emerick Corsi Sr. (deceased), Zada Smith (deceased) and an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Rd. Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023 at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26. The family will receive guests following the service at the church. Emy loved his two dogs, Turk and Sage. He was a passionate advocate for pit bulls and all dogs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Muttley Crue, a rescue for neglected, abused and homeless dogs, via www.emycorsi.com .
