In memory of
Mauricio "Tre" Vega III
Mauricio, known by all as "Tre" Vega III, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born September 28, 1964 to Josephine Benavides Vega and Mauricio Vega Jr in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from James Madison High School in 1984 and played Football, Baseball, Basketball, and was even captain of the wrestling team. This love of sports in high school made him an avid Cowboys and Spurs fan in adulthood. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with degrees in accounting and finance and began a long career in the financial arena in the last 31 years.
He was the President and CEO of Value Capital, Inc. which is a private equity consulting firm. Tre was licensed with the Investment Management Group of USAA and as a Syndicate Broker with Bear Stearns, one of the world's largest institutional firms on Wall Street. Tre was also the Director of Corporate Finance for several public and private companies and founded his own brokerage firm, Atlantic Pacific, which he later sold to National Capital. Since then he has assisted several companies in going public through Initial Public offerings, reverse mergers and Alternative Public Offerings. He sat on the Advisory board of an SEC compliance Edgar filing company called Issuer Direct which currently services 800+ publicly traded companies and is one of the many publicly traded companies that he has assisted in going public.
Tre loved to travel whenever he had the opportunity and was extremely outgoing – he never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his love for his family, friends, and clients and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Tre is survived by his parents; sisters, Sherry Riceberg and husband Joel and Lisa Boykin Avalos; Nieces, Haleigh and Darbeigh Riceberg; Uncles, Joe and Max; Aunts, Elva, Helen, Emma, and Ann; as well as numerous cousins, other family members, and a lifetime of friends.
