Judy Clare Stupfel Feb. 17, 1950 - Oct. 15, 2019 Judy Clare Stupfel (Oliverio) of Portland, passed away Oct. 15, 2019. A 1968 graduate of St. Mary's Academy, she met her future husband of 46 years John Stupfel at a high school dance at St. Thomas More. John and Judy raised three children in her beloved neighborhood of Eastmoreland where she and her German Shepherd dogs were a frequent sight on the tree-lined sidewalks. Judy was an exceptional Italian cook and loved cooking for large family meals with the help of her mother, Mariloris Oliverio. She is survived by her husband, John; their son, Jeff (Erin); daughter, Cara (Dan); and her granddaughters, Elliot and Logan Joyce and Maura Stupfel. She is also survived by her mother, Mariloris Oliverio; sister, Janice Black; many cousins and countless lifelong friends. Judy was preceded in death by her son, David. The family would like to thank Countryside Manor (AFC) and specifically Lidia Crainic and Victoria and Aurel Ciont for their wonderful care of Judy over the last few years. A funeral will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Reception to be held immediately following the service.
