RICHARD BRIAN BAIRD
RICHARD BRIAN BAIRD Richard Brian Baird, of Coarsegold, California, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born April 13, 1964 in Santa Ana, California along with his twin brother Randy. He had been recently diagnosed, and passed away from complications of liver cancer. He was surrounded by his family in his home as he passed away. He was a sniper in the Marine Corp and lived out his duty to serve and protect. Long after his time in the service of his country was over, he lived by this principal and would quickly defend and protect those who needed it, strangers as well as family. He was a proud American who embodied the spirit that this country was founded in. It was God, country and family, always. He had several sport teams that he enjoyed following, Ohio State, L.A. Rams and the Angels. He enjoyed owning and shooting his guns and hanging out with his buddies. He loved to hear a good joke, but truly enjoyed telling a good one. He was very competitive and would put his chips all in whether it was on a good card game or trying to eat a giant hamburger to win a T-shirt. His strong work ethic made him a valued employee no matter where he worked. He believed that no job was too small to be done well. Some of his many jobs included the Parasol Restaurant in Seal Beach, Leach Grain and Milling in Downey, Swiss Dairy, the Los Angeles Postal Service and security at Chuckchansi Casino. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Asher (Bridgett), and his step-father, Glen W. Bridgett. He is survived by his wife Stacy and her daughters Hilary and Ava, his children: Heather and Victoria Baird and son Robert Baird; sister Sandra Sefcik and brothers Randy (his twin) and Donald Baird III, as well as step-brothers Michael, Patrick and Shawn Bridgett and step-sister, Tina Bernardy. Viewing will be held at Arlington Mortuary in Riverside, California on Wednesday, October 16th from 9:30-10:30am. Processional service to follow at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside California. Immediately following will be a celebration of his life at the Rancho Caballero Mobile Home Park clubhouse in Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers, Richard would want you to consider a donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation which helps American Veterans. Arlington Mortuary, Directors (800) 275-4648 www.arlingtonmortuary.com
