Benedict T. "Bene" Catalano
Benedict T. 'Bene' Catalano, 69 Loving husband, father and grandfather Benedict T. "Bene" Catalano, 69, passed away on Oct. 7, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. Bene was born in Brooklyn. He moved to Staten Island to Shore acres in the late 1970s and then to Huguenot in the 1980s. He served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. Bene was an executive director of disaster recovery for JPMorgan Chase in New York City. He enjoyed coaching his daughters in soccer. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his dogs. He was a fan of the N.Y. Mets and N.Y. Rangers. Bene loved his children and grandchildren and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Elena; his children, Kristin (Adam), Dina (Vincent); his brother, Philip Catalano (Nicoletta), and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Vincent, Olivia and Valerie. Funeral is from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Friday at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial is at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Moravian Cemetery.
