Vira June (Quigley) Cogswell Evansville, Ind. - Vira June (Quigley) Cogswell, 87, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Evansville Protestant Home. Vira was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on June 15, 1932 to the late John and Louise (West) Quigley. Vira loved performing in plays and after graduating she continued with local stage productions taking lead roles. Vira worked in several insurance offices and later was an account executive for C.B.T. Leasing Inc. She was artistic with drawing, beading and sewing. She had dual citizenship in USA and Ireland and traveled there many times. She was a member of Methodist Temple, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed for her giving loving spirit. " Dia idir sinn agus an t-olc" Vira is survived by her daughter, Diane L. Chiaradonna of ME; son, Michael Cogswell (Tammy) of CA; step-sons, Doug Cogswell (Kimberly) of IL and Fred Cogswell (Kathy) of CT; grandchildren, Juleen, Stephanie, Suzanne, Vanessa, Courtney, Ashley, Ryan, Paxton Jonathan, Jessica, Erica, Daniel, Heather, Brenna, Evan, Jade, Darci, Jami; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Vira was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cogswell; son, David Cogswell; sisters, Jessie Mueller and Avis Johnson; and brothers, John Sr., William, and Herbert Quigley. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
