Denise Feldman Taught at Berkeley College, loving wife, mother, grandmother Denise Feldman, 77, of Wayne, N.J., died peacefully surrounded by her family on Oct. 5, 2019, following complications of pneumonia. Denise was born in Jersey City, N.J., to Mary and Frank Flaccavento, and grew up in Maywood, N.J. She was the beloved wife of William Feldman; loving mother of Melissa Feldman and Paul Feldman (Elizabeth); grandmother of Max, Ben, Julia, and Alex. She was a loving sister to Maryann Snook (Alfred), and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Flaccavento, and her parents. Denise was a dedicated teacher who affected many students' lives in the course of her long career. She taught English, writing, and feminist thought at Berkeley College in Woodland Park, N.J., where she was recognized for 30 years of outstanding service. She received her degrees from Douglass College (B.A.), William Paterson University (M.A.), and St. John's University, where she received her doctoral degree in literature. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Lung Association Arrangements are by Jewish Memorial Chapel, 841 Allwood Rd., Clifton, N.J.
