Catherine Bruno, 77 Her grandchildren were her pride and joy Catherine Bruno (nee Paterno) passed away peacefully on Oct. 7, 2019, in West Palm Beach, Fla. Cathy was the beloved wife of John Bruno (deceased) and caring and devoted mother of Michelle Donner (nee Bruno) and her husband, Craig Donner. Cathy's true pride and joy was being Nana to her three grandchildren: Daniel, Amanda and Derek. Cathy was a graduate of New Dorp High School and a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace in New Dorp. She was a longtime resident of New Dorp Beach before moving to Marlboro, N.J. She enjoyed traveling between New Jersey and her home in Boynton Beach, Fla., for the past 20 years. Cathy is survived by her loving mother, Sara Paterno-Fontana, and siblings, Philip Paterno II and Donna Lamberti as well as her beloved brother- and sister-in-law, Anthony and Marie Bruno, and her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, N.J. The Funeral Mass is Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 172 Freneau Ave., Matawan, N.J. Burial follows at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Morganville.
