NORTH HENDERSON - James C. McKinzie, 79, North Henderson, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at home. He was born Wednesday, June 12, 1940, in Zeigler, the son of George and Opal (Short) McKinzie. He married Farrel A. Brown on Sept. 29, 1959, in Pinckneyville. James is survived by his wife, Farrel, of North Henderson; sons, Frank, Scott and James; grandsons, Mark, Cisco, Brian and Steve; two sisters, Lila Lafgeen and Esther Keller; and one brother, Robert McKinzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. James was raised and educated in Duquoin. He was a mechanic and could fix anything with a motor.
