Richard A. "Dick" Hawk
Richard A. 'Dick' Hawk EASTON Richard A. "Dick" Hawk, 85, of Easton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at his home. Born Oct. 4, 1933, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of the late Chester and Ina (Reichard) Hawk. He and his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (McCabe) Hawk, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Jan. 7, 2019. Dick was a 1952 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. He served with the Navy during the Korean War. He retired as supervisor of the Electrical Bureau for the City of Easton where he was employed for 28 years. Dick enjoyed woodworking and tinkering in his garage and basement. In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Gontz and her husband, Dave, of Dover, PA, and Sandra Hawk and her husband, Tom DeNardo, of Bushkill Township; eight grandchildren, Dan and Matt Negrete, Megan, Erin and Emma Barnes, Kathy Gontz, Thomas and Danny DeNardo; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Patricia Hawk. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com .
