Charles L. Hoagland
Charles L. Hoagland, of Bargersville, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019. He was 90 years old. Charles was born in Lafayette, Indiana on June 22, 1929 to the late George Ray and Mae (Bucher) Hoagland. After graduating from New Richmond High School, Charles eventually joined the military serving proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Charles was a lifelong farmer, faithful member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and a 4-H leader for over 35 years. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Blue. Charles is survived by his loving wife Louise (Dunker) Hoagland; children, Mary Carter (Rodney), Martha Forrest, Violet Thomas (Danny), and George Hoagland (Theresa); sisters, Emma Perkins, Betty Bruner, and Mary Jackson, as well as 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services for Charles L. Hoagland are Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 7031 S. East St., Indianapolis, IN. 46227 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to the Morgan County 4-H or St. John's United Church of Christ. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
