Bernard Crawford
Bernard Crawford of Clay, AL passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 94. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and appreciated. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country proudly during WW II in the Italian Theatre. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church PCA where he served as an Elder in the service of His Lord. Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margie Fay Ware Crawford; his two sons, Brian Crawford (Lennie) and Tommy Crawford (Sue); five grandchildren, Daniel Crawford, Philip Crawford, Sarah Crawford Bryan (Jeremiah), Joey Crawford (Kiki), and Connie Crawford Benson (Bryan); great grandchildren, Abbey Crawford, Colton Crawford, Hix Crawford, Josh Benson, Hannah Benson, and Selah Benson; his nephews, Steve Strickland (Susan) and Randy Crawford; and a niece, Ruth Hendrix (Milton). Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on Thursday morning, September 12th at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church, 9392 Cedar Mountain Road, Pinson, AL 35126. Services will begin at 12 noon and interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery. Family requests that donations please be made to the Cemetery Fund at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church PCA.
