Edward A. Maska Jr. Postal Service foreman, WWII Navy veteran, Belleville resident Edward A. Maska Jr., 94, of Belleville, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019. Visitation will be on Wed., Sept. 11, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. with Prayer Service to be offered at 7:30 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com . Born in Kearny, N.J., to Edward Sr. and Clara (nee Smolski) Maska, Edward lived in Stillwater, N.J., before settling in Belleville. He honorably served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Before retiring in 1987, he was a foreman for the U.S. Postal Service in Kearny. Edward was an avid golfer and a member of the Hendricks Field Golf Course in Belleville. Predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, Charlotte (nee Smith), and his daughter, Susan, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Auteri (Joseph); grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole (Jacob), Danny, Kalab and Joseph; and great-granddaughter, Lillian.
