She was a native of Greene County, Alabama and known for her award-winning beatification of her home on the Northside of Bessemer. She was a longtime faithful worshipper of Shady Grove Baptist Church, serving in leadership with the Ushers and Choir. She was preceded in death by husbands, Mr. Fred Mahone and Mr. Jasper Hawkins and a son, Lester George, Jr. Loving memories remain with a devoted son, Homer L. Eatman, Sgt. Maj., US Army Retired and his wife, Bernadine and numerous relatives. Homegoing is 11:00 Wednesday at Shady Grove Baptist, 2600 Fairfax Avenue, Bessemer. Pastor V.L. Harkins, Officiant. Inhumation follows at Brighton Cemetery. Calling Hours at Johnson Memorial, Bessemer, Tuesday Noon until 8:00.
