Richard Gerard Morris, age 59, of Navarre, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 after a long illness. He was born January 11, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a 1978 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He served his country in the United States Army and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He was employed at the Sierra-Nevada Corp. at Hurlburt Field. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald J. and Patricia L. Morris; brothers, Frank J. Morris, James P. Morris and Denis P. Morris. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia J. Morris and Susanne M. Morris; brothers, Donald J. Morris, David M. Morris, William P. Morris and Thomas G. Morris. Richard will be interred at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida on Thursday, September 12, 2019 starting at 11:30. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home.
