Catherine Ann Anderson
Catherine Ann Anderson, 80, of Fort Madison, passed away Thursday at Hospice in Burlington after an lengthy battle with cancer. Catherine was the daughter of Lawrence G. Anderson and Rosa Catherine Thele of Burlington. She married Laurel Lee Cline in 1958 and later divorced. In 1965, she married Everett Richard Anderson who passed away from cancer in 1971. She was married Richard Alan Petty 1971 until 1993. She is survived by her children, Karen (John) Puga, Tim (Dina) Cline, Bridget (Arthur) Prado, Luanne (Scott) Huffman, David (Amanda) Petty, and Scott Petty. Catherine retired from Champion Sparkplug after 32 years and opened and operated Carousel gift and antique store for a number of years. Catherine was very talented, dealt in antiques, loved auctions and yard sales. Many hours were spent on her flower gardens and enjoying her animals. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Allen Petty Jr.; brothers Leo and John. She is survived by siblings Rosemary Friedman, Paul (Delores)Anderson , all of Burlington, Carol Huber of Moline Ill, Margaret (Paxton) Lowery of Sarasota Fla., Jane Crawford of Washington, Iowa, and many nieces nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
