In memory of
Roger Morris Miller
Roger Morris Miller of Birmingham passed away on Sunday morning, the 11th of August 2019, at the age of 70. He was born in Rising Fawn, Georgia the first of three sons to Morris and Viola Ione Miller. Roger spent an active childhood on Lookout Mountain, where he played quarterback for his high school, and was even voted "Mr. Chattanooga Valley High School." He was a naval veteran who served in Vietnam as aviation boatsman's mate on the USS Kitty Hawk. Roger became a hardworking business executive & entrepreneur, leading several companies across the country as both a CFO and CEO. His proudest accomplishment, however, was his family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kay Miller; son, Colten Miller (Dana); daughter, McKenzie Johnson (Carlo); and by the lights of his life, his two grandchildren, Charlotte Miller and Ethan Johnson and his brother Steve Miller and wife Judy. He worked to give them the world, and he will be deeply missed. Friends are cordially invited to a gathering and reception with the family from five o'clock in the evening until seven o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 15th of August, at Ridout's Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Road in Homewood.
