In memory of
Marlene "Kay" Thompson
Marlene 'Kay' Thompson Nov. 5, 1940 - April 29, 2019 It is with sadness that we share that Marlene "Kay" Thompson passed away at the age of 78. Kay was born from loving parents Marlin and Esther Thompson and was raised with her younger sister Janis, who later moved to Italy. Kay taught school for the Beaverton School District at Barnes, Raleigh Park and Chehalem and worked at Memorial Coliseum at various events over many years as an usher. Kay loved people. She always had a high curiosity, showed enthusiasm and gratitude for life and was a true great heart. We will always remember the moments together. Her joy was so contagious and inspiring that a part of her will live in us forever. Her health condition made the last years of her life tough, but her family and friends are very grateful for all the caring people that were close to her always. Kay is survived by her sister, Janis; and her nieces, Barbara and Elisa. Please join us celebrating her life from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at Pietro's Pizza, 13281 S.W. Canyon Rd., Beaverton 97005. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
