Ruth Elizabeth Guldstrand - - At age 99, Ruth (Bette Ruth) passed away on July 12, 2019. Born to Irish immigrants, Rebecca (Haydock) Henderson and Thomas Albert Henderson, Bette was born in Westerly, Rhode Island on March 3, 1920. She was married to Axel M Guldstrand of Sweden, and with him headed west to California in 1948 where they made their permanent home in Sacramento. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Aerojet General for 43 years before retiring to travel, folk dance and enjoy her many friends. Her love of theater, musicals, dancing, and the boisterous, charismatic way she loved her family and friends, will always be remembered with smiles. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Roger) Grace of Palm Desert, granddaughter, Elizabeth (Joe) Gascoigne of London, England, her grandchildren, Dorian and Margo Gascoigne, two nephews, Bobby Dean Henderson and Jack Henderson of Westerly, Rhode Island, and niece, Cornelia (Gackie) Pahlsson of Malmo, Sweden. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sun City Palm Desert, Mountain View Clubhouse on Thursday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m.
