Carl W. "Butch" Delp Jr.
Carl "Butch" W. Delp, Jr. 61, passed away on August 9, 2019. Born December 14, 1957 in Holyoke, MA, son of Carl W. and Eleanor (Renner) Delp of Pineville, NY. Carl was a life long resident of Granby and worked as a steam engineer for Essential Power MA LLC in West Springfield, working in the field for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoors man who loved gardening, fishing, hunting and trapping. Carl also enjoyed playing poker, blackjack and going on family vacations. He volunteered his time for Special Olympics events and regularly donated blood and platelets to the donor bank. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sons, Carl,III, Aaron and Ryan Delp. He will also be missed by three siblings, June Delp and her husband Geoff Levi, Cynthia Foster, and Paul Delp and his wife Veronica, a grandson Carl "Charlie" Delp IV, his ex-wife Renee Desmarais and her husband Joe and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 am, followed by burial in the West Street Cemetery.
