Anne W. 'Hunsie' Nilsen PALMER TOWNSHIP Anne W. "Hunsie" Nilsen, 90, of Palmer Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019, in Moravian Hall Square of Nazareth, surrounded by her loving family, Jane, Vickie, Butch, Kathy and Pat. She was the loving wife of the late Robert J. Nilsen, who passed away in 2009. Anne was born March 14, 1929, in Nazareth. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Faryniak) Wimmer. Anne worked as a bookkeeper for G. Piscitello & Son Inc., of Wilson, and worked in the foreign expert department as a bookkeeper for J.T. Baker Chemical Co. of Philipsburg. Prior, Hunsie was an assistant buyer for the former Orr's of Easton. Anne was a past member of Northampton County Council of Democratic Women and the Women's Democratic Club, of Nazareth and Vicinity. She also belonged to the AARP Palmer Chapter. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Churc h of Tatamy. Hunsie and her husband enjoyed traveling, bird watching, family vacations, polka dancing and sailing with friends Bob and Wally. Hunsie is missed by her many nieces and nephews, along with their families. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary W. Messenlehner, Jean Paskewicz, Nellie Tarnok, and brothers, Wallace and Edward Wimmer. Services will be private and have been entrusted to the Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc. of Nazareth. n lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church of Tatamy or Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church of West Easton, in care of the funeral home.
