Janet L. Pappas, 82, of Middletown entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg. She was born on December 11, 1936 in Freedom Twp, PA and was the loving daughter of the late Calvin and Velma (Richie) Bobo. Janet was a self employed hairdresser for 43 years and really loved her career. She enjoyed many things such as doll making, bowling and going to the casino. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Peter Pappas; daughter, Denise Jenkins; grandson, Collin Carey; sisters, Eula Borrer, Barb Vallareal. Janet is survived by her sons, Rick L. Carey of Middletown, Randy L. Carey (Shannon) of Middletown; daughter, Debra A. Bowman (Scott) York; sisters, Laurene Tate, Patsy Bobo; grandchildren, Todd Baugher, Tara Shue, Monique, Jordan, Natalie, Leah Carey; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Caitlan Shue, Mikayla, Elizabeth Baugher, Rylee Carey. A tribute to Janet's life will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 E. Main St. Middletown, PA 17057. There will be a visitation 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. Interment will be at Union Deposit Cemetery, Harrisburg.
