Marlene E. Thoman
Marlene E. Neuhart Thoman, 76, of Highspire, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her home. She was born in Altoona on November 7, 1942 to the late Kenneth and Clara Weston Neuhart. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Congregation of Mechanicsburg and an employee of Superior Stores of Harrisburg. Marlene was devoted to helping others and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as cooking, reading, listening to gospel music and nature walks. Marlene was the widow of her loving husband, Philip Thoman, who passed on November 19, 1996, with whom she was married for 28 years. She is survived by her children, Randy L. Thoman of Harrisburg, Ronda J. Thoman of Highspire, Tina J. Foster (Cory) of Lebanon, Michele I. Zehring of Middletown, Kelly S. Thoman of Hershey, Kevin S. Thoman of Middletown, Cary L. Zehring (Miles) of Pine Grove, Vincent E. Thoman of Highspire, and Brent H. Thoman (Olivia) of Lemoyne; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Neuhart of Altoona; and three sisters, Linda Barnhart, Bonnie Estep (Ronald), and Patty Lucas (Richard), all of Altoona. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie K. Thoman; one sister, Charlotte Martin; and two grandchildren, Preston Zehring and Nicholas Zehring. Graveside Services and Burial will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 11:00 am in Churchville Cemetery, 51 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Pastor Rowland G. Foster, her Pastor, officiating.
