In memory of
Cheryl Ann McKinney
Cheryl Ann McKinney, 59 of New Cumberland passed away August 10, 2019 at Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Born November 29. 1959 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of George Walters and Linda (Kohr) Matriccino. Cheryl worked as a CNA for over 30 years, a profession she loved as she always wanted to take care of people, especially the elderly. She was a firecracker who never played by the rules. She loved the beach and cooking for her family. But the lights of her life were her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier and smile bigger. Whether it was having tea parties or baking cookies, attending their sporting events and concerts or doing crafts. She was a proud "Grandma". Surviving are her parents John and Linda Matriccino of Lewisberry, her daughters Maria (Baldi) and her husband William Yaremchak of Camp Hill and Kara McKinney of Camp Hill. Also surviving are her brothers Johnny Matriccino and Winn (Paulette) Walters, sisters Tina (Russell) Shope, Cynthia (Steven) Hixon and Angela (Matthew) Bohl. Her 7 grandchildren Gabrielle, Samantha, Dylan, Madelyn, Kaleb, Ryan and Anna. Cheryl also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Our hearts are broken and she will be greatly missed, but we are taking comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and is at peace. Per Cheryl's request, there will be no services. A celebration of life will take place on a future date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in Cheryl's memory to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. www.pennlive.com/obits
