Patricia Lee Carmon
Patricia Lee Jackson Carmon, 70, passed away peacefully Friday 8/9/19 in her home in Pelham, AL surrounded by family. Lee was born on Dec. 24, 1948 in Mobile, AL to Leslie and Marie Antoinette (Cook) Jackson, better known as Boots and Tee. Lee had one sibling, her older brother Joseph Leslie Jackson (Skippy) whom she adored. On Nov. 24, 1973 Lee married the love of her life, Charles Edward Carmon, Jr.(Charlie). Throughout their life together, Charlie and Lee have lived in Illinois and Alabama and traveled the world over. She loved seeing nature's wonders. She felt the magic of every snowfall, animal sighting, and breathtaking view. Lee eloquently documented her travels in such a way that the reader experienced the adventure along with her. To know Lee was to love her. Her impeccable sense of style, joyful laugh and fierce love for her family added to the magnetism that connected her to others everywhere Lee went. She never met a stranger and she was quick to point out the best characteristics in those around her. Lee's children and grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy. Lee is survived by Charlie, their three children: Kelley Brown (Nick) in Gulf Breeze, FL, Trey Carmon (Jessica) in Birmingham, AL, and Courtney Winegar (Paul) in Nashville,TN as well as her 5 grandchildren: Camden and Benjamin Brown, Aiden and Emmerson Winegar, and Ophelia Carmon. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham on Monday Aug. 19th, 2019 at 10:00am and 11:00am respectively. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
