William 'Billy' Fani, 40 Dear husband, son and brother, coolest uncle, great friend William "Billy" Fani, 40, born May 8, 1979, died Aug. 10, 2019. Born and raised in West Brighton, Staten Island (Shaolin), he was a Wu-Tang Clan aficionado and an avid New York Yankees fan. Billy was a loving father, and devoted husband. He was a beloved son and brother! Coolest uncle! Great friend! He graduated with a master's degree from St. John's University, and was a supervisor at Met Food/Village Barn, working in the family business. He is survived by his wife of six years, Erin Kyle; his 15-month-old daughter, Ryan Rosemary; his mother, Catherine Fani; father, William Fani; sisters, Lisa Fani (Alonso Vargas) and Jessica Bourghol (Peter); in-laws, Rosemary and Tom Kyle; sisters-in-law, Laura Bruen (Jim) and Victoria Kyle; and nieces and nephew, Emma, Gwen, Liam, Colette, and Vivian. Wake is today, Monday, Aug. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral is 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at St. Teresa Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider contributing to a trust fund for Billy's beloved daughter, Ryan.
