William S. "Rusty" Irons
William S. 'Rusty' Irons, 73 Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather William S. "Rusty" Irons, 73, of Westerleigh, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on Aug. 9, 2019. He was the devoted husband of the late Ruth Ann Irons; beloved father of Ann Baldini, Christine Fleming, Scott Clark and Tracy Haas; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Jillian, George, Ryan, Brooke, Robert, Colleen, Taylor and Johnny; great-grandfather of Christopher, Travis and Skylar Jean, and the fond brother of George and the late Ivy Lee. He was a longtime member of The Richmond County Pilots Association and the Loyal Order of Moose (Lodge 135). Rusty enjoyed the outdoors and traveled all over the world. He was the chief engineer of Staten Island University Hospital and retired from Telehouse Communications. Most of all, William enjoyed spending time with his family. Visiting is on Monday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with funeral service at 8:30 p.m., in the Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Avenue, West Brighton. Private cremation will follow.
